British musician Ben Dodson is Neuroportal. “My first memorable experience of music was seeing Star Wars first time around, I was 4/5. The impact of John Williams’ soundtrack was incredible, arguably the most iconic part of the film. This stayed with me until discovering Jean Michel Jarre and Mike Oldfield, quickly followed by Tangerine Dream. The sounds and music allowed me to create fantastic dreamscapes in my head and ever since then, music has had a very visual impact. Fast-forward a few decades, and re-discovering analogue synths, I have made a concerted effort to use them as an instrument to be played in real-time as much as possible. Oh, and the finest monosynth ever created is the MS-20...”
