about

L-Shape (David Hartmann) is a 25-year-old experimental electronic artist from Bedfordshire, UK. He primarily works with modular synthesis and explores electroacoustic compositional techniques in his music. Recent works include sound design for the art installation piece ‘Wide Open’ at The University of Bedfordshire as well as commissioned film score work. ‘Tumble’ is an improvised single-take generative glitch piece. Sound sources include a Roland Scooper modded Drum Machine Patch, Make Noise STO for Pulse bass sounds and Elektron Analog Four for drones, all fed through the Mutable Instruments Clouds. He is planning to begin performing live with Max coding language for visual interaction alongside a combination modular and hardware system.
