about

Benge is the artist name of Ben Edwards, experimental electronic musician and producer. He launched his label Expanding Records as an outlet for his debut album Electro-orgoustic Music in 1995. The label grew to include a roster of approximately 20 artists from around the world. He also runs Memetune Studios, which houses a large collection of vintage electronic synthesisers and other recording equipment. Tone Flow No.5 was created
on an Emu Modular system built in the early 1970s and contains VCOs, filters, envelopes and unique logic modules, which help in the creation of self-playing patches, alongside the analogue and digital sequencer modules. The reverb used on the track was an EMT 140 platefrom the 1960s.
