about

From Žalec near Celje, in east-central Slovenia, noise/electro pioneers ‘Electric Fish’, was an industrial, electronic, experimental project,
active between 1983 and 1986, started by Matjaž Rebevšek and Ervin Potočnik. In 2006 Matjaž began recording new material and occasionally performing as Electric Fish. 2007 saw the release of a mini-album ‘Electric Field’ on Zdenko Franjić’s ‘Listen Loudest!’ Label. In stark contrast with the 80’s concrete industrial output, the new aesthetic direction leaning towards beautifully textured ambient soundscapes and strange bewildering analogue modular electronics.
