about

Addie Brik is an American artist residing in London. Her work began early on in her native Georgia with poetry published in several papers and journals. This led to a place at the Naropa Institute, working alongside Americas finest poets and writers such as Allen Ginsberg and John Steinbeck. She later joined a young artists group on Francis Ford Coppalas' Zoetrope lot. This early experimentation led to the indie record classic Wattsland, where Addie was joined by The Red Hot Chili Peppers. She studied voice with University of Southern California music director, opera coach, Lynne Nagel and the legendary classical Indian vocalist Lakshmi Shankar. She co-wrote and produced the critically acclaimed, Duck see Goose. Currently Addie has written 'transsafety' a new solo work, and recorded it with: kuma, Damian Wagner (Garbage, Madonna), Andrei Samsonov (Russian clarinetist and Queen Elizabeth scholar, Mute /Parallel Series), Wendy and Lisa, Bedouin Ascent, and Plaid. Additional production from Stephan Hague.
