about

Richard Wilkes, aka Myoptik, has been cutting an idiosyncratic figure in the world of music, radio, writing, comedy and events promotion since the last century. ‘Loon Jagz’ sees a collaboration with long-standing pal Ben Bayliss aka Misterben. Myoptik has been a mainstay of the Leicester underground for nearly 20 years, with his 12-hour fesitvals, radioshows and comedy dishevelment. He debuted at Law & Auder’s ‘Monastery of Sound’ festival in the year 2000 and became a regular feature at ‘Rehab’ their monthly nights out at ‘The Foundry’ in London’s Old Street. Alongside his eclectic ping-discs label he has also had releases on Law & Auder.
