"I wrote this piece at the beginning of '98, when i was asked to compose a piece to be performed in a cave. for many years I concentrated mainly on more traditional and commercial singer/song writer projects and so welcomed the opportunity to explore a fresh format. I wrote 'Eternal Breath' as an expression of infinity in nature, the point on the horizon which, although can never be reached, nevertheless exists. I see infinity as the focus towards which the cycles of nature are inexorably pulled - like the lines of perspective in a picture which meet at infinity."

"I performed all seven vocal lines on this piece using my classical training and jazz instincts (my father was a jazz trumpeter). The use of a multi-track tape machine allowed me to make myself into a small choir. each vocal line, being unrehearsed and completely improvised, reflects the eternal evolution that is nature's breath."
